First Day Hike
Join us on January 1st for a First Day Hike at the St. George Island State Park. We will start at the middle pavilion at the East Slough Beach Use Area and will move across the island to the East Slough Overlook Platform. Along the way we will talk about the Gulf of Mexico, the beach and sand dunes, sea turtles and nesting shorebirds, and the shallow estuary. Ladies Let’s Go Fishing!
A free Women’s Fishing Clinic will be held at the Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park on Saturday, June 9 from 9-5 pm. Hosted by the Florida Wildlife Commission, the day-long clinic will teach basic angling skills, safety, ethics and conservation stewardship in a fun laid-back atmosphere.
