Wednesday, Oct 3 – BS Open Mic is on from 6-8ish, so tune up the guitar, banjo, spoons or tap shoes and find your way out to the areas best display of local, and developing talent. All levels of talent are always welcomed and appreciated so long as you bring a smile to the stage. As always tips for performers go to a charity, and this week they will go towards the Friends of the St. Vincent Island National Wildlife Refuge in lead up to their fundraiser on Sunday, Oct 14!
Thursday, Oct 4 – Somebody say AWWWW… SH**! Johnny Barbato and Britt Meacham come on in from out west ‘Bama way to make Thursdays the New Friday in Apalachicola, and what better way to warm up for ApalachOktoberfest. They will be playing from 6-9pm and we all know when we cut Johnny and Britt loose it is an evening to remember, Few can weave a tale into every song they sing like Johnny, while laying down some of the hardest hitting blues, rock and more so…. originals that most locals can sing along to at this point! Come on out for a great warm-up session… for the best event of the year… ’cause….
It’s ApalachOktobefest 2018… and this year is off the chain…
Friday, October 5th will see Brewmaster Clayton Mathis take the stage starting at 4pm followed by the tapping of the golden keg. Then the Bo Spring Band rocks the night away beginning at 7pm.
Saturday, the music and drinking continues as the TurkeyBasters kick things off at 1pm. Then, Bowery Station is honored to have a featured artist from New Orlean’s Oyster Fest join us, The Mulligan Brothers who will perform from 3:30-5:30pm!! Then, Johnny Barbato hits the stage from 5:45-6:45pm, followed up by a sure to be dynamic performance by Ten Pound Pancake beginning at 7pm and lasting far into the evening!
Then, Sunday, the celebration continues at a street party in front of the OCBC brewery with two stages featuring Boo Radley (1pm), The Currys(2pm), Sticky Too(3pm), Matt Law and the Usual Suspects (4pm), and Shaw Davis and the Black Ties starting at 7pm on into the evening! (Again Please Note: All times are estimates!)
The three days will be filled with great food, contests, and frivolity centered around what Apalachicola, Bowery Station and OCBC have become so well known for…. Great Beer, and Great Live Music. Come join us and help make this another memorable Apalachicola Event!
Then we can all take a nap.
