Wednesday, June 13 – Spotlight on the Mic featuring Sam and Dave with special guests will start off the day from 5:30-6:15. This new feature allows for developing artists to play a few more songs than at Open Mic, get a little more warmed up, and expand their repertoire. Sam and Dave will be bringing a few extras along for the ride in the shape of existing BS stage showmen, Charles Elliott, potentially Ellis Seawright, and rumors of Mexico Joe. Looking forward to another great Spotlight on the Mic! Then, BS Open Mic rolls from 6-8ish. As always, tips for performers go to benefit a charity, and again this week and for the month of June, we are generating support for the Apalachicola Riverkeeper, by way of our friend Janine Gedmin who is seeking sponsorship for her 107 mile Rivertrek kayak trip in October!! Janine is committed to the trek, and BS is committed to her. So come on out and support her efforts … and the Apalachicola Riverkeeper!
Thursday, June 14 – Josh Watson takes on a summer Thursday evening from 6-9pm. Josh brings a powerful stage presence with masterful guitar, and powerful vocals to his performances as we continue to make Thursdays the New Fridays. His set list includes some of the most popular covers that span decades and genres, from americana, a touch of country, to good old rock n’ roll, Josh commands attention on the stage as the crowd can’t help but sing along.
Friday, June 15 – Put on your Rock N’ Roll boots and get ready to dance the night away as Southern Flood returns to the BS stage from 7-10pm. The boys from Southern Flood pull no punches when it comes to rockin’ covers, always working new material into their set list of well known classics. They are a perfect fit for kicking off your weekend as Steve, Charles, Hobson and Ellis always become part of the crowd with their enthusiastic and energetic performances.
Saturday, June 16 – DEBUT ALERT! Cassidy Daniels joins us for an afternoon performance from 3-5:30pm. Cassidy joins us from Nashville and brings an electric performance to stages across America, exhilarating audiences with her unique vocal stylings and classic southern charm. Her catalog of original songs continues to grow as she writes in Nashville based on her life experiences. With a voice bigger than the Florida sunset, Cassidy continues to always put a smile on everyone’s face with her outstanding talent! Then, in the same style of fun loving performances, Mike and Jan of the Common Taters join us for an evening show from 6:30-9:30pm. The Taters have a laid back set list from the Dead to Zydeco, smothered with a helping of down home Americana, as they are always joined by a talented Turn-up or two!
Of note: Remember our new summer hours Wed – Saturday 2pm – until the music stops, which is evident by the music schedule! Things are sliding later as the days are longer, so feel free to swing on by after dinner and enjoy great live music late into the evening.
Thanks again to all you folks that come on out and support great live music at Bowery Station, without your support we wouldn’t be able to bring you such diverse and talented performers.
See you at the show!
