Bowery Station Music Schedule 21st – 25th

February 21, 2018 @ 11:00 am - February 25, 2018 @ 8:00 pm

Well this week sees a small change from our monthly update, as Johnny Barbato is consumed by getting his new bar (Which we have affectionately dubbed BS West!) in Alabama up and running, he unfortunately won’t be able to make his show for this Friday. However, the good news is… we were able to get The Living Street back in the house in his place. These guys rocked it out a few Saturdays back, joining us from Pittsburgh, PA, as they quickly drew a crowd and held it with their high energy performance. Compared by the audience to The Currys and The Highbeams, The Living Street have a great sound of their own that commands attention.

Wednesday, Feb 21 – BS Open Mic rolls from 6-8ish. This weekly event has been a mainstay in local entertainment for years, and has fostered the development of numerous performers as they gain their confidence and stage presence. All levels of talent are welcomed and appreciated. As always, tips for performers from BS Open Mic go to charity, and during the remaining half of the month of February performer tips will be going towards the SGI Volunteer Fire Department leading up to Chili Cook-Off in early March. So come on out and belt out a tune or two for a great cause and great fun.

Thursday, Feb 22 – Sarah Moranville joins us from 3-5. Sarah, one of the best emerging female artists on the Gulf Coast. With a set list that spans the generations, and a sultry voice that draws the listeners in, Sarah has earned herself a spot in the lineup at this year’s Chickfest 2018 for a reason. Then, Sticky Too returns for one of their signature shows from 6-8:30pm as we continue to make Thursdays the New Fridays. Their last show was standing room only, as these two talented guitarists trade riffs and can harmonize their way through a set list of your favorite rock, americana, southern rock and really just about any genre you can name. Come get sticky on a Thursday evening.

Friday, Feb 23 – Matt Gardi is back with a chicken wire testing show from 3:30-5:30pm! In his continued effort to fill the “stop Playing” tip bucket, Gardi offers his attempts at covering some of your favorite classics. Rolling Stone says “..he plays with guts… it takes guts to get on stage and perform like that…” Then, as we mentioned above, The Living Street returns from 7-10pm with their unique show of velvety indie pop. Edward and Nick have a full sound with bass and guitar highlighted by tight vocal harmonies. Those who got a chance to catch them last time through will testify… do not miss this show!

Saturday, Feb 24 – Tyler James Arnold is ready to roll for a show from 3-5pm. This talented guitarist uses just the right amount of sampling to showcase his lead riffs through a set list that blends well written originals with popular covers. There is a reason he is a rising star on the Gulf Coast music scene. Then, welcome back the Bill Pandolfi Trio from 6:30-9:30. Arguably one of the most talented guitarist to grace the BS stage, Bill and the boys take you on a trip from Sinatra through the blues as only they can do, in a style that has every generation tune in to the show.

Sunday, Feb 25 – Boooooooooo! That’s right, it’s Boo Radley from 4-8pm … with a twist! Patty and Michael are planning a songwriter showcase of mostly originals, with special guest Keal Franklin. Keal, has played the stage of the The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, and is a prolific songwriter. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon, then enjoying the best in original live music that the Forgotten Coast has to offer. Boo Radley with special guest Keal Franklin!

Thanks again for supporting great live music in our rustic venue, see you at the show!
