Blessing of the Fleet

One of the most colorful events normally held each year during the Florida Seafood Festival is the Blessing of the Fleet. Even with the Festival being postponed this year the Board has made the decision to proceed with the Blessing. It will be staged at Riverfront Park on Friday November 6th at 4pm. Several clergymen will bless the parade of passing fishing, shrimping and Charter Fishing vessels as well as the recreational vessels from across the county. Any boat wanting to participate the parade of boats will proceed from the north starting at 4pm near Scipio Creek toward the Bridge the Blessing will occur at the middle of Riverfront Park. We encourage all who would like to have their boats blessed to participate.
