Many people have asked, “What is H’COLA?” Here is the answer in brief: We are a group of committed and
dedicated business-minded people from the Apalachicola, Hillside Community who occupy the same belief,
which is that service to others is a high and worthy calling, and we share this view passionately. Please visit our
About Us Page for more information about how H’COLA came to be, and other information about the organization.
We are honored to be part of the Apalachicola Community and appreciate your support of our activities. We hope
to see you at our next event!
The Hillside Coalition of Laborers for
Apalachicola (H’COLA) are making plans for their
annual flagship event, the African-American
History Festival, which takes place each year on
the 3rd weekend in February.
The weekend outdoor event celebrates and
highlights African-American heritage, including
art, culture, and food and provides something to
do for the entire family and every age group from
pre-school to senior citizen.
