Founded in 1832 Franklin County is nestled between Panama City and Tallahassee known as the “Forgotten Coast.” Our community is part of a unique and rare ecosystem consisting of the Apalachicola River, Apalachicola Bay, Carrabelle River and the Gulf of Mexico encompassing all the wonder and beauty nature has to offer.

The Franklin County School District, in partnership with the entire community, will empower every student to become a life-long learner who is a responsible, productive and engaged citizen within the global community.
VISION
We envision that every Franklin County District School will be a thriving, dynamic and inspiring educational environment that produces self-directed learners and stimulates citizens of all ages to trust in, invest in, and benefit from public education and whose graduates are prepared to excel in a complex, interconnected, changing world.
