Wednesday, July 25 – Spotlight on the Mic features Bob Gorecki from 5:30-6:15pm. Bob has been one of those talents adding to his repertoire and we are excited about him playing an extended slot before….. BS Open Mic rocks from 6-8ish. And… The Dave and Christy Cerrato double down continues. As most of you know, our Open Mic makes for a fun evening of a variety of talent giving their all on stage. And as many of you know, the tips for the performers on stage always go to a charity. Dave and Christy have generously offered to match all the performer tips for the remaining Open Mics in July. We have been raising money for the victims of the Eastpoint Fire, and thus far have done quite well. During the last three Open Mics, generous patrons have thrown $1254 into the performer tip buckets. This is the last week, so come on out and play, and if so inclined toss a dollar or two in the bucket for a great cause.
Thursday, July 26 – The Highbeams return for one of their dynamic shows from 6-9pm! Highbeams are a trio of brothers that play emotive, high energy Folk Rock. The band has captured audiences all over the Southeast with their warm, personable stage presence and rich three-part harmonies. Highbeams have released two full length albums and have played alongside national acts such as Vertical Horizon, Chase Bryant, Col Bruce Hampton, and the Grammy nominated duo, Brothers Osborne. Today the band continues touring behind their latest release, Do Good\\Be Well, and making the most of every opportunity to share their dream with the world. Every time these guys step on stage here in Apalach, they draw a crowd of enthusiastic onlookers, and we expect no less as we continue to make Thursdays the New Fridays!!
Friday, July 27 – Here is a great back to back…let’s start off the afternoon with Cat Braaten and Tom Mason for a show from 4-6:30pm. Cat, a proven Apalach favorite that can belt out the tunes with a mix of originals and covers always gives a lights out performance, but once in a great while we are blessed as she brings with her Nashville legend Tom Mason. Tom joins her with intricate guitar riffs, fantastic harmonies, some amazing originals of his own, and on occasion a trombone!! What a great lead in to an evening with Boo Radley, as Patty and Michael take on a Friday night from 7-10pm. Leaders of their own genre of originals that oft times is referred to as new 850 Americana, Boo Radley holds the attention of a riveted audience both with their performance skills as well as their compositions. Michael always amazes on his six string, but combined with amazing vocal harmonies…Boo Radley defines a live performance!
Saturday, July 28 – Dothan’s Dave Dale joins us for a fun afternoon from 3:30-5:30pm with his country, rock and a smile the size of Oklahoma! Dave can play for just about any crowd by accommodating any genre of music. The crowd always ends up singing along as few can make great time happen on a Saturday afternoon of live music like Dave can! Then, we wrap up the summer with some of the best performers that have ever graced the Bowery Station stage….The Bo Spring Band is ready to dominate from 6:30-9:30. Bo, Lauren, Tim and (Hand Model) Randon always raise the roof through a show of originals and your favorite covers. They love performing, and it shows with the energy that they fill each and every show with. This will be a pinnacle of our summer performances, and seeing as Bowery Station will be taking summer break for the entire month of August….it is a do not miss show. (Well any Bo Spring show is…but that’s a given.)
Again, thanks to everyone for making the summer hot in so many ways, the musicians, the dancers, Dave Cerrato, and all of you live music enthusiasts…
The fun continues Friday, Aug 31 as we kick things back off with the TurkeyBasters….stay tuned!
