Wednesday, May 23 – BS Open Mics rolls from 6-8ish. Recent weeks have brought in a treasure trove of new musicians showing their stuff on the BS stage with a range of styles and genres. It’s all about developing musicians and the crowd is welcoming to all levels of talent and ability! As always, tips for performers go to benefit a charity, and this week and for the next few following we are generating support for the Apalachicola Riverkeeper, by way of our friend Janine Gedmin who is seeking sponsorship for her 107 mile Rivertrek kayak trip in October!! Janine is committed to the trek, and BS is committed to her. So come on out and support her efforts and the Apalachicola Riverkeeper! Keep a look out for a fun event in June that will also support our friend Janine!
Thursday, May 24 – John Sutton… yeah that’s what I said… thee John Sutton is coming to Apalachicola from Nashville to make Thursdays the New Fridays for a show from 6-8:30pm. John has a contagious energy and pushes it out in his performances that showcase his well written songs that are frequent flyers in the BS house mix. Oft times folks ask… “Who is this?” Sounds amazing!!” Well, we are happy to present him live on stage on a Thursday evening in Apalach!
Friday, May 25 – Here is a double decker…Josh Watson joins us for a solo show from 3:30-6pm. Josh has a sound that the listener tunes into through solid guitar skills and great vocals that span the genres. Listeners always find themselves singing along…which is a great way to lead into our evening show. That’s right, Bowery Station is pleased to welcome back Rebel Union from 7-10pm. This top rated Nashville act has squeezed Bowery Station into their tour schedule once again, and as always we are expecting a packed house. There are few up and coming acts that have the dynamics of this duo of couples, leading the music scene in Nashville and beyond with their originals as well as their live performances. Their shows captivate the audience for the duration as the vocal harmonies impress the most critical observer. This will be a “get in early” and do not miss event!
Saturday, May 26 – Cat Braaten returns for one of her signature shows from 3-6pm! Cat is arguably one of the most popular and talented female performers in the region and covers a wide range of artists, but her originals tell some amazing tales. Then, if you are ready for it, the Bill Pandolfi Trio returns for a show from 6:30-9:30pm. Bill and the boys take you on a trip from Sinatra through the blues as only they can do, in a style that has every generation tune in to the show.
Sunday, May 27 – Tyler James Arnold comes out for a Sunday afternoon show from 3-5pm. Tyler has the bayou written all over his show, with a down home feel that illustrates his skillful riffs, and soulful vocals, and Tyler graces his shows with his joy of playing tunes for the crowd. Then, get ready to Boooooooo! Patty and Michael of Boo Radley come on out for a show from 5:30-8:30pm leading into the week before their nuptials which will occur at Bowery Station. Having developed a huge Apalach following, due primarily to their incredibly written originals, and powerful vocal harmonies, the duo is backed by Michael’s top level guitar skills making a show of New 850 Americana, a genre they have developed and lead so many others in. This will be a great Sunday afternoon for a long weekend, come on out and enjoy.
Thanks again to all of you that come out and support live music at Bowery Station, and thanks as well to those musicians that give their all to help make Bowery Station and Apalach a developing music meca on the Gulf Coast. See you at the show!
