Skip’s Birding Tips

The spring migration is in full swing and St. George Island State Park is one of the best spots along the Forgotten Coast to experience it! Join Ranger Skip, the park’s resident “bird brain”, for a guided walk through our park’s most diverse habitats. We will discuss the mechanics of migration as well as how to quickly ID birds on the fly. This program is open to all experience levels, some binoculars and bird books will be available on loan, but if you have your own, bring them. The program will start at 9:00am in the youth camp area of the park on April 8^th and continue at the same time every Saturday for the rest of the month. This program is free with paid admission into the park.
