The AAHS Heritage Dinner is coming up on September 21. We are honored to have University of Florida Environmental Historian Jack Davis as our speaker. Professor Davis won the Pulizter Prize in History last fall for his book: The Gulf: The Making of an America Sea (copies will be on sale at the event)
Many in town will remember the Heritage Dinner Series sponsored by the library. These were well attended and thoroughly enjoyed fall events. Susan Clementson referred to them as “the official opening of the Fall Season”. The Apalachicola Area Historical Society has been given permission to bring them back.
Tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased in person at the Raney House or the Chamber office, or online at https://aahs.wildapricot.org/events. Tickets are $50, but couple get a discount of 2 tickets for $80.
Please join us in a sumptuous meal, elegant works for “Jack” and good company. Net proceeds will benefit the Historical Society. Anyone wishing to make a side dish, salad. dessert or help the night of the event should be in touch with Caty Greene at 850-323-2305 or catygreene32320@gmail.com
