HCA Presents the Play “Libby, Diary of An Alaska Pioneer”

HCA proudly presents “Libby: Diary of an Alaska Pioneer” based on the 1879 diaries of Libby Beaman, an adventurous woman who spent a year in Alaska’s remote Pribilof Islands. The one-woman show starring Elizabeth Ware and directed by David Edgecombe, was originally conceived to commemorate Women’s History Month by honoring the achievements of pioneer women. Performances will be on Saturday, March 23 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 24 at 3 p.m. Sunday’s performance will be followed by a panel discussion “Seals, Islands and Aleuts: Tales of a Modern-Day Libby” at 5:30 p.m. Tickets on both days are $20 available at the door.
