Cobia & Mahi – Eanes Family

Part of what makes the Gulf of Mexico so exciting is that you never know what you’re going to experience each day. While out on a family fishing trip, we were catching tons of mangrove snapper on flat lines. Than we quickly hook into 3 large Cobia, and big Mahi-Mahi also. Watch the Captain nearly miss the biggest cobia with the gaff, and them quickly redeem himself with a solid fishing to put the cobia on ice. Watch as the Mahi launches out of the water a few times as it tries to fight its way out of getting caught. On top of getting hooked, this Mahi has about 3 barracudas chasing after it. It’s a race between the fisherman and the barracuda to see who can get the tasty Mahi-Mahi first.
