Bay Fest & Tate’s Hell 5k 2022

Bay Fest and Tate’s Hell 5K HAS NOT BEEN postponed. Bay Fest is alive and well and is going forward as planned THIS SATURDAY October 1st at St. James Bay Golf Resort. Kicking off the day at 8 am with the Tate’s Hell 5 K Run and Walk. Live music by the Rockulla Performers and Blues Meets Girl. Delicious food at the key lime pie tasting and bake off and wonderful food specials by Crooked River Girl. Free bike safety rodeo for families! Silent auction by the Carrabelle Artist Association. And watch the excitement of the Pickleball Tournament!! Come join us THIS SATURDAY in Carrabelle and help us raise funds for the Franklin County Senior Center. 5 K – Race Day registration and shirt/ number pick up starts at 6:45 am. Race starts at 8:00 am.
Join us for the Tate’s Hell 5k 2022 at St. James Bay Golf Resort in Carrabelle. The race will begin at 8am and wind through the neighborhood and golf course. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you race to raise funds supporting Franklin County Senior Center in Carrabelle. Each participant will receive a shirt (register by Sept 1st to reserve your size) and other unique goodies. Stay for live music, a national bike safety course, an auction and a pickleball tournament as St. James Bay presents Bay Fest 2022 for the entire family! Food specials are available all day, and everyone will find something to enjoy.

Music – 9:30 am – 1:00 pm
Kevin Andrew and Rockulla Music will be rockin’ the stage at Bay Fest 2022! Also featuring local faves Blues Meets Girl from 11 am – 12 noon. If you haven’t seen all this local talent, you’ve been missing out. Come for the music and enjoy all the activities at Bay Fest.
Bike Rodeo at Bay Fest 2022 – 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Bay Fest 2022 presents the AAA National Bike Rodeo, a bike safety course for kids 3 years and up (and adults, too). Learn how to be safe and have fun on a bike. The course will be taught on an individual basis depending on the rider’s experience. Some bikes will be provided but if you bring your own bike and helmet, the experts can help make adjustments so you are safe and well-fitted. After you complete your training, you will receive a t-shirt and helmet. And several bikes will be raffled off! 10am – 12 noon
SUNTRAIL Info Booth will be open as well to show you where and when the bike trail will be extended through Carrabelle.
Pickleball Tournament – 9:30 am – 5:00 pm
The Pickleball tournament starts at 10 am. Check-in and shirt pickup begin at 9:30 am.
Format: Women’s doubles and mixed doubles compete together. Beginner/Adv Beg (2.0-2.5) start at 10am. Intermediate/Advanced (3.0+) follow 30 minutes after completion of first level – approx 12 noon. Franklin X balls provided. 8 teams at each level, double-elimination format. Cost: $40/person, $80/team. No refunds.
**Registration**: Both team members must be paid for before the spot is secure. Spot can be secured without second person’s name if not sure of partner BUT fee must be paid in full. The quickest method is to call 850-697-9606 to pay by credit card then fill out, scan, and send registration to info@stjamesbayresort.com. You can stop by SJB Pro Shop and register in person. Registrations can be mailed after payment is made if you can’t scan and send them. Mail to event coordinator BeLinda Wharton, 702 3rd St, Carrabelle, FL 32322. Checks are accepted in person at the Pro Shop (made out to St James Bay with memo “2022 Bay Fest Pickleball Tournament”).
Awards: Winners of each level will receive Bay Fest 2022 awards. All participants will receive a t-shirt and everyone is entered in a prize raffle.
