Wednesday, Aug 9 – Open Mic hosted by Matt Gardi runs from 6-8ish, giving you your chance to shine. All levels of talent are welcomed and appreciated as folks hone their stage skills on the house sound system. Sing a song, do a dance, tell a joke or just sing along with the folks that do.
Thursday, Aug 10 – DEBUT ALERT! In our effort to continue to bring new performers to the stage, and to make Thursdays the New Fridays in Apalachicola we are proud to present Copper Line Bluegrass from 6-8:30pm. These guys are hard driving traditional bluegrass from the Florida Panhandle, and they are excited about putting on a show for our small little venue. It’s full on Bluegrass by this quartet when they step on stage.
Friday, Aug 11 – Cat Braaten and Tom Mason will be taking on a Friday night at BS from 7-10pm. Either of these performers can stand tall on their own, but when they get together on stage the chemistry that mixes up a fantastic show explodes. We finally got this duo out for a Friday night in Apalachicola, so kick off the weekend right with Cat and Tom. Also, don’t forget, weather permitting, Cathy Buell of the SGI Cat Allies will be making her famous Nathan hot dogs as a benefit of the Allies. Cats and Dogs…and great live music.
Saturday, Aug 12 – Here is a solid day of the best performers around. Melissa Bowman plays a solo gig from 3-6pm. This dynamic female performer leads us into what will surely be another face melting jam session of the Bo Spring Band from 7-10pm. Bring your sunscreen for Melissa’s bright smile, and Bo and the Band’s high energy joyous celebration of live music. As always, when these kids play…we order extra beer… so fear not…the OCBC will be cold and plentiful.
Sunday, Aug 13 – Come on out for our BS Summer Vacation Party starting with Dave Dale from 2-4pm! Dave is a solo showman who loves getting the crowd jumpin’. Then, what better way to wrap up a great summer of live music than with a hard rockin’ show from Southern Flood from 5-8pm. Hobson and boys are tunin’ up to make the bash a special one, as they always add to their already hard hitting repertoire. Expect this Sunday bash to be one for the record books.
Then, take a nap. You’ve spent a summer dancin’, hootin’, hollerin’ rockin’ and appreciating some of the best live music on the Gulf Coast. You deserve a chance to sit back and relax because….
Gosh Darn it we kick it all back up again going into the fall.
Come on out for our Fall Kick off on Friday, September 1st with Clayton Mathis kicking things off for Johnny Barbato and the Lucky Doggs! Johnny with the full band….no one can start a season of live music off better!
Then, looking forward….in association with our friends at Oyster City Brewing Company…it’s ApalachOktoberfest 2017 on Oct 6-8, a weekend long celebration of beer and music!! Friday and Saturday at Bowery Station, then Sunday at an OCBC street party with two stages. Yeah, we are stepping it up for a three day festival this year…plan accordingly!
Get ready for fall…it’s going to be goooood, at Bowery Station, your home for great fresh live music in Apalachicola!
