Classic Movie Night at the Apalachicola Library

Classic Movie Night returns to the Apalachicola library on Thursday, September 14th, with a screening of “Blackboard Jungle” (1955). Starring Glenn Ford and Sidney Poitier in his breakout role, the film is a gritty expose of juvenile delinquency that became a teen sensation. The first use of a rock ‘n’ roll song in a mainstream movie had young people literally dancing in the aisles. Join PALS–the Friends of the Apalachicola Margaret Key Public Library at 6 PM for the birth of the rock ‘n’ roll revolution. We provide the popcorn! The library is located on the corner of 98 and 12th Street in Apalachicola.
