The Summer Music Series continues with Tallahassee artist, Lililita (Lili) Forbes.
Lili is an international singer/songwriter from the Caribbean Island of St. Maarten. She is a graduate of Florida A&M University with a BS degree in Music Education and a Minor in Theater. She has written music for plays, musicals, films, TV commercials and she has a versatile catalog of songs, jingles and poetry as a publisher.
As a member of the world-renowned Caribbean duo Jumelle AKA The Johnson Sisters, Lili has received multiple Caribbean Gospel Marlin Awards and touched the world with her powerful poetic sound.
Lili is currently engaged in two projects. She is composing and producing music for Broadway bound, “Underground” the musical based on the Emmy Award winning short film, “Underground” by Akil Dupont. Lili is also composing and producing music for “Maggie Never Bitter, The Musical” by Taj Shortwell.
The library will be transformed into a listening room to better your enjoyment of this award-winning musician’s Caribbean-Soul sound.
